A Lokalise alternative with a free plan, and glossary and memory on every plan

Lokalise and Linguiqo are both hosted in the EU and both sync with Git. They differ in price structure: Lokalise combines seats, word allowances and plan tiers, and Linguiqo bills for how much is translated.

Where Linguiqo is different

  • Linguiqo has a free plan, and its cheapest paid plan is €9.90 a month. Lokalise starts at $149 a month billed yearly.
  • The glossary, translation memory and screenshots are in every Linguiqo plan. On Lokalise they start at Growth.
  • Linguiqo does not count seats, and machine translation runs on your own OpenAI or DeepL key rather than on a word allowance.

When Lokalise is the better fit

  • Your mobile apps should receive new strings over the air, without a release: Lokalise has OTA SDKs for iOS, Android and Flutter.
  • Your procurement requires SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 certification, which Lokalise holds.
  • You work with translation branches, custom workflows or SAML single sign-on, which Lokalise offers on its larger plans.

Questions

Can I move a Lokalise project to Linguiqo?

Download your files from Lokalise in the format your app uses, such as JSON, XLIFF, PO, Android strings.xml or a String Catalog, and import them into Linguiqo. Plural forms and context come across in the formats that carry them. Then connect your repository so new strings arrive on their own.

Is there a free trial of Linguiqo?

The free plan has no time limit, and the first paid plan a team chooses is free for 14 days. There is also a sandbox with example data that needs no account.

Does Linguiqo deliver strings over the air?

No. Linguiqo sends translations back to your repository as a commit or a pull request, and they ship with your next build. If over-the-air updates are essential, Lokalise is the better fit.
